Bath Remodel 2007
Of course, I'll install a new tile floor and tile the tub enclosure except for the ceiling. This was, I think, a 3/4 bath...no shower. I'm going to add a shower in the tub area. The plumbing is already there so it should be a snap!
Here's a before shot.
Here's all the pics and a couple short videos.
Happy birthday, Mom!
I finished the bathroom remodel today. I installed new light fixtures and some coat hooks. We bought a new shower curtain and some throw rugs. Looks good! Take a look.
I finally installed the vanity countertop tile and the sinks and got all the plumbing hooked up. It's starting to look like a bathroom again!
All that's left is a little paint touch-up and to put the mirror back in place. I'll install a couple new towel bars and new light fixtures then we'll be good to go!

Here's a couple shots of the cabinets with the doors and drawers installed.
I stained all the oak cabinets, doors, and drawers a natural color to match the kitchen. That's what I did yesterday. Today I brushed on 3 coats of lacquer. Deft brand is made specifically for brushing. It works very well. After the lacquer dried I installed the adjustable shelves. Tomorrow I can install the doors and drawers.
Next up; I'll have to buy two sinks and install the tile countertop on the vanity. After the tile work is finished I'll put the mirror back up and hang some new light fixtures. That'll be it!

All tile work is finished. Now it's the cabinet guys turn.

Quite a difference!
Most of the tile is up and floor is grouted.
The bathroom has a fresh coat of paint and a tile floor. I also installed the first course of tile in the tub enclosure. Next I'll grout the tile floor so the toilet can be reinstalled and then finished the tub tile. After that, it's the cabinetmakers turn. He'll install a full-length, double sink vanity and the cabinet above the toilet. I'll stain and lacquer the cabinets then tile the countertop.
Tile backer board is installed and pipe is stubbed out for shower. I did some drywall patching and should be ready for paint in a couple days.
